Derections to keele uni from nottingham ?

How do I get from Nottingham to keele university by public transport? I cannot seem to find a coach that will take me there and google says it will take me 3 hours by train . I'm quite baffled does anybody knows how I could get there the university website is not very helpful.

Nearest train station is stoke and theres a train roughly every hour at 10 minutes past. 1h23mins

Once you are at Stoke then you can either catch a bus or get a taxi. it is 4.4 miles.

It looks unviable by coach 3.5-4.5hrs. Often the case across country.
