I recently did my as levels in year 12 and realised that i didnt do too well. My school is a selective grammar school and i dont think i will get in the school next year. I have theredore decided to apply for a different sixth form college where the grades required are more "lenient". The deadline for the application was 1 april, and im only just applying. Is it too late? is it possible to go straight into year 13 from year 12 or will i have to restart. Thanks

It's entirely up to your school.

However you don't normally need to apply to *stay* at a school.

Nope. I have no examples. Ask your current school what happens if you do badly (can you retake the year?), and ask the other school if they will accept a late application and what their requirements would be to proceed to Y13.

They are the only people who can answer.
