I had finance for a foundation degree in early years and my top up year in leadership and management. However I didn't finish my top up year due to personal reasons. Can I apply for further finance to do a top up year? (Maintenance grant/loan and tuition fees). Thank you

It depends what your reasons for not finishing the top up year are. If you think you had Compelling Personal Reasons that made you drop out, you can apply for additional funding. You'll need to be able to provide evidence that shows the circumstances. Circumstances that qualify for CPR are things like illness, bereavement etc that can be verified. This might be things like a death certificate, a doctors letter, proof of medical appointments.

    Hi Ali49,

If you were to reapply for funding for your top-up after submitting the application you would need to send evidence of the personal reasons and why this impacted your studies specifically for that academic year.

If accepted this can be used to grant you another year of support directly awarded to that top-up year.

    Warm regards.
