I'm a 17 year old girl and just left a 1 year course at college. I have been offered an interview for an admin apprenticeship at the local council tomorrow and only found out a few days ago. My mum is disabled so she is unable to work and because I was recently full time at college, I didn't have the time to get a job, which means money is very tight. I have a smart shirt and some smart black flats, but the weather will be warm tomorrow and I don't have the time or money to buy smart trousers. If I was to wear slim black jeans, would this be inappropriate? They are plain and are ankle length so they would not be rolled up or anything like that.

I think its ok, although I normally say no jeans.
If you look reasonably smart then they might not even notice.
If you feel uncomfy then you can either mention it before or after,, but its just an apprenticeship so I doubt they expect too much. GL.
