Is it just me, or is this strange? I meant, its an art course, pretty much every university i've been too or tutor i've talked to will always care more about the portfolio then anything else (as well as employers). And i've done an art foundation so I'm 99% sure I should have enough UCAS points.... strange place.

It depends what course - some are more "academic" than others and require a minimum academic standard to be considered, e.g. Ruskin (Oxford) and Slade (UCL).
