A gas cooker can supply energy at a rate fo 15MJ per hour. how long would it take to increase the temperature of 2 kg water from 25 celcius to 100 celcius?

The specific heat capacity of water is about 4.2 kJ/kg°C.

4.2 kJ/kg°C x 75 °C x 2 kg = 630 kJ of energy required.

This is delivered in 2.52 minutes by a 15 MJ/hour cooker.
