Also be prepared to have intense debates about what part of the North/South divide you're on. EVEN IF YOU'RE FROM THE MIDLANDS. Apparently it doesn't exist so you outta pick a side :'
"Midlands"? Don't you mean The North?

I see the Midlands as more of a separate thing, not entirely Northern but not Southern either. If I had to pick one though, it's definitely more Northern.

    - You will be so used to saying where you're from/what you're studying/what halls you're in you'll be like a robot in the end.
    Agreed

(and no-one, aside from a hallmate who was from there, knew where bloody Plymouth was...)

There are some really basic as **** people you will meet. You will wonder how the **** did this person get into my course. You will find uni to be fun but most of the time it's stressing out being broke and wondering why. The tutors some of them are absolute dogshit and are halfway into thier coffins. We do this for a piece of paper debt and a job/career that will hopefully help us and some of us will make it others will just **** right off in all honesty.

You may be asked by random drunk people if you are in the I.R.A if you are from Northern Ireland. Now that was an interesting conversation.
