Vaccinations for university? watch

    • Thread Starter

Has anyone else been notified that they need to get the meningitis vaccination? Or any other injections pre-uni?

Asking because I hadn't been informed that this was something required for uni and only heard through a friend who was told to get the jab before she moved - now I'm freaking out that I'm missing something and don't want to be at risk :s

I had the Jab just call your local GP surgery and explain that your attending a University in a couple weeks and require a Jab. Just get it Thousands carry the disease unknowingly and with the volume of people you come into contact with you should get get vaccinated

It's not required, but highly recommended.

I've got mine tomorrow, which I'm being forced to have tomorrow by my mum (she seems to still think she can consent for these things) but I get really bad side effects to every vaccine I have and I'm going on holiday on Wednesday. And I have a major needle phobia so I'm already massively scared, but I'm still getting it done because it could save my life

Do you agree with the proposed ban on plastic straws and cotton buds?
