Starting Jan 2018 and was wondering how much science is involved? Thank you x

Also can you give any general tips or advice? Or things I should prepare for / read / brush up on?

    Thanks so much xzz

You'd probably get more responses over on the BCU area.

Hey Diddles89, I just posted the below in your other thread, so hopefully this helps! ...

The course is a combination of scientific elements such as how the body functions and ill health along with care and communication skills and looking at things like health in society/policy and of course practical skills.

    Some of the modules include:
    Professional values
    Decision making
    Health in society
    Nursing practice
    Nursing in society
    Policy, Politics and Nursing

For a full break down of modules over the three years, just head to the course page here: http://bcu.ac.uk/courses/nursing-adult-2017-18 and check out the 'course in depth' tab.

In terms of prepping for the course, if you are required to do anything, you'll either get an email or letter about it and maybe a reading list, but otherwise I wouldn't worry too much unless you really want to then you could check what some of your first modules are from the course link above and maybe brush up on those topics by finding some relevant books? But don't worry, they don't expect you to do loads of work before hand and come knowing everything already.

    All the best,
    Lydia
