    Edinburgh Festival! :clap2: :yep:

Going there 17 - 23 August. Total happy frenzy expected!

    AMA. :cookie:

    Or...

Tell me what my friend and I should see.

Absolutely too many possibilities and fear exhaustion.

However, I'm also really really looking forward to it! My first time.

I haven't looked at the programme this year but usually make a point of going through for a day or two.

We tend to go to nice bars/food places that we fancy and go to the theatres nearby. We've seen some rubbish and also some great stuff too

Do you know Edinburgh at all?

Cool - are you a regular?

I don't know it really well, but I've stayed there a few times and I know the big tourist sites.

Can you recommend good places for brunch?

Fairly regular, I live in Glasgow so go through a few times a year.

There's lots of lovely places in grassmarket for brunch. My failsafe place is always the City Cafe. It's not glamorous but the food is good and it's very central. It doesn't tend to get overrun by tourists because it doesn't look like much.

there's this great act... they call themselves Marx & Sporks

basically it's this old geezer who looks like he was rejected from a Chaz'n'Dave tribute act pretending he is going to be Prime Minister; his sidekick, who is like Aretha channeling Les Dawson, is always making mistakes... for which she is prodded by a giant spork. great fun... it should transfer to the West End in the Autumn.

I could easily see Jeremy and Diane having their own show at Edinburgh - reading excerpts from Marx and Lenin whilst offering basic maths tuition, things like that.
