I did my Year 10 mocks, which my school had called 'PPEs' this April?
Needless to say, my results were pretty bad. I have the classic excuse that I didn't revise, but, to be honest, I feel so stupid because this entire time I didn't know HOW to revise. Or at least, I relied on the stupid technique of skimming through revision guides and copying out the key points in textbooks, the day before the exam.
Both of these methods are extremely inefficient. I got 5s, may seem good by some because it's a pass but it's like a failure for me because I'm aiming to get a grade 9 for GCSE.
My Year 11 mocks are in November/December and I believe that these are the actual mocks, which won't get leaked? xD
But I do think that they are going to be of all my subjects this time, so that's double the workload...
Then there's the actual GCSE exams. As I said, I want to get grade 9s (Why should I aim for a lower grade to begin with?), so I assume that a grade 9 would be about full marks in the exams. I know that there are people who get full marks in the exam, is it really just a case of understanding the exam technique, and applying it in your answer?

I had Year 10 mocks as well, and I got mostly 8s and 9s with one 7. All you need to do is make sure you understand everything, and read the revision guide thoroughly. That's what I did :dontknow:
