HSBC railcard
Has anyone recieved their railcard yet or any info about their card? I only sent mine off on the 20th - one day before the deadline so i'm a bit worried i wont get one :-(

Do you have to apply for the card or just the account before the end of the month?
I went into the back the other day, I have had an HSBC account for a while now. They said that I could get the card whenever because I already have the account.....so what's the truth?

I've had a pre student account with them for a while and it said on my letter and application form for the railcard that you had to apply for the card before 21st august or you would automatically get £50 cash instead of railcard
Ive got my HSBC railcard and already making damn good use of the cheap fares!
Oh poo! That means that I won't get my railcard coz' I'm an intl student and I'm only going to open my account when I get my confirmation letter.

You'll be over here in a few weeks though right?? Cos...i think....and this isn't for absolute sure..but i think natwest are also offering the railcard when you open a student account...and their offer goes till end of october i think???

the other thing with HSBC is that it's very hard to open a student account as an international student...
...coz you're meant to be self-sufficient..etc. so there are no chances of getting a rail card there anyway. (but sometimes it depends on who's serving you at the counter...
...just smile lots and look poor.)Natwest has no problems...and i think you can swap the railcard for £50 which i prefer

Hmmm... I think in Brunei HSBC they actually give the railcard! That's what they said in the brochure they gave us.. like they've made some kinda arrangements. Not sure! I'm still waiting for my confirmation letter to come through, then I can settle it all.
I applied for mine over a week ago through HSBC, i've received all my info from them (card/cheque book etc...) but no pin number 
maybe later.
I asked the person who sered me in the branch and apparently due to massive demand they could take up to 4-6 weeks to arrive.

i applied in JULY and STILL havnt had my railcard come thru yet...its REALLY annoying because i keep making trips back&forth leicester/liverpool!!! its costing me soo much atm!!
oh that's really annoying. i applied for a student account waaaay before i got my results and i got the actual confirmation a few days ago (AFTER 20th august) so does this mean i can't get a railcard now? if so that's really unfair
