HSBC railcard

if all this is true and you needed to apply for the railcard before 21st august then HSBC are little buggers who really didnt explain that properly enough! they just said you needed to apply for the account, didnt they??

im gonna go to the bank in town tomorrow to find out, thats so crappy if its true!

exactly.....they said i could get the card anytime, as long as i opened the account before the 21st.

No I think that you just need to have applied for the account. :smile:

I applied on the 23rd through my local branch and they said it was ok as they were sending off all the forms that day. Haven't even received my details yet, though, and I'm worried as Cardiff want to know which account to debit in 5 days time and it doesn't even exist yet!

That is worrying - they usually set your account up within a day, if not on the spot. you get your account number quickly and your cards and cheque book take a week or two. I'd phone your branch/pop in and see why you don't have any account details yet.

I got a phone call from my branch on the 20th saying I had to pop my photos in ASAP because they had to send off the application by the 21st...

I'm sure htey'll be some leaway though, but probably not more than a week.

Hi, I got my railcard about a week after applying, I applied on the 16th August I think.
