I don't quite understand why Law is given this bad image that you shouldn't take it. I see it as very helpful in terms of preparing you for a Law degree.

I agree - I do it for A level and really do like it, I don't want to do a law degree but I can definitely see how it would prepare you for a degree, as to do law at uni you don't actually need it at A level, meaning that first year would (I presume) be relatively easy as you would be learning the base knowledge, which would probably be the A level content. I also think it really helps with any degree in general as you write so many essays and have to remember a hell of a lot of content, so personally I think its a really useful A level to do.
