Does anyone have any advice on how to look good on a university application? Im wondering what can I do to get ucas points and more things in general that will help me when I start to apply for universities?
Do a BTEC and get maximum ucas points with less stress and no luck needed unlike a levels , you also have tons of free time to do work experience. This will make you the perfect candidate unless you wanna go to oxbridge.
Read some books around the subject, not necessarily textbooks. Myself for example read the book The Epigenetic Revolution before starting my degree in Genetics. It isn't a text book, it's a popular science book targeted at the general population who likes a bit of science. I enjoyed it, gave me a head start on some of the course content, and also looked good on my PS, but didn't get bored to death by reading a full on textbook.
Writing a personal statement can be tough and itβs easy to fall into the trap of using stereotypical sentences. The key is to be creative, detailed, and interesting, without rambling and losing focus.
