I've been really wanting to apply to dentistry, and am doing the UKCAT on 21st of August. I don't really know how my Chemistry and Maths exam went however, I found them both challenging and difficult so I'm unsure whether I'll be eligible to even do the UKCAT if my AS grades turn out lower than expected.

But I've been reading uni prospectuses and calling many, most have said they won't take into account AS grades anymore. My GCSEs aren't that strong either. I have 6 As and 5 Bs, it's the maximum to apply for dentistry at least.

My question is, if I manage to achieve a high cut-off score, will the unis accept me based on the UKCAT ?

Your predicted grades will need to be As. Newcastle offer a programme which allows lower grades if you meet certain criteria so have a look at that. My daughter found The A level exam much harder than AS so bear that in mind when deciding what to do.
