I am hoping to apply to do a PGCE in Primary starting in September 2018 after finishing my undergrad geography degree next year but am confused about funding etc.

From what I understand if I get a first I will be eligible for a £3000 bursary?
Also, will I be able to apply for student finance to cover my tuition fees and some of my living costs?
If so - can you have both the bursary and the student finance?

    Hi ellacollins08,

You will be eligible for funding through SFE as initial teacher training courses are exception course and will be funded, as the loan terms for 2018 haven't been released yet we will not be able to provide you with and amount you will be entitled to but can apply for full funding (fees/means tested loan and supplementary grants if you have dependents).

Scholarship bursary's are provided by the University and does not effect your funding.

    Thanks Catherine
