Hi , I would like someone who can relate to my case to help me with my problem as i'am very anxious at the moment about what i should do .
I have finished my GCSE'S just over a month ago and i picked the following subjects for my A-Levels : Biology , Chemistry and physics
now i did maths foundation ( I swear not because i'm stupid ) at my school i was only told this means you cannot take maths at A-Levels which i wanted to do but i got over it and decided to do a gap year after A2.
At my induction day for sixth form ( in a different school) i was told that chemistry and physics at A-levels without basic GCSE Maths ( higher ) knowledge is going to be HARD!! and that's the main reason people drop off these subjects .
so i was like wow what am i going to do now !!
i came to a conclusion few weeks ago to do a retake year and do GCSE Maths higher + retaking my sciences.
I want someone to tell me if this is going to affect me later on when applying to uni and if someone knows a friend or a relative who did a retake year for GCSE but I WANT to stay in a FULL TIME EDUCATION my school offers that but i don't want to go back to it .
