that isn't a belt stupid, it's a real corset! if you don't want a real corset and just want a fashion accessory, try ebay, they've got loads of corset belts there.

Er, it is being marketed as a belt/corset to be worn OVER blouses etc.

And, for your information I am NOT stupid:mad:

You may be, I am not

calm down lol. it's being marketed as a corset, in the lingerie section. and corsets can be worn over blouses.

Corset and Basque in Glory, the same product, both in the lingerie section. it's not a belt, they're selling corsets.

Yeah, that's not a belt.

Corset all the way.

If you want a corset, that is a fairly good price. If you want a basque (i.e, the same look, but doesn't actually hold you in with metal), then try doing a google search for basque. If you want a decent waist belt that does the same thing, try New Look. I got a really awesome one there for £15. It's fake leather, which is a down side, but really bulky and looks great over shirts for that sexy pirate look :p:

i saw really nice ones on ebay

There is a thread lurking about somewhere with a link to a cheap underbust corset. I think it was about £32 for a decent corset, but searching has been disabled so I can't find the thread anywhere. It was in fashion and beauty and the thread title was something about corsets if you feel like looking through all the pages and finding it.

I really like this belt/corset. La senza's new promo, only problem is it costs £100! Wonder if there is a cheaper version anywhere?

Anyone seen 1 like it around?

Any information on an alternative source would be

Just search underbust corset on google and you'll come up with loads of links....

Nyaha! Honour Waist Cincher This is pretty much the cheapest one you with find.

And yes, the best thing I have to do with my friday night is look through old threads for corset links >.<

oooo thats well nice shame about the price though :frown:

They always have things like that at markets, like on the stalls that sell lingerie. Think they are £5 at the Market where I live.

Reply 12

Thanks everyone for the information, tempted to buy 1 from la Senza:smile:

Whatever!

It's only money:s-smilie:

try hottopic.com. They do corsets for around $45 (£23?)

Reply 14

the Honour corset is an ok one for the price. it's a real corset, does it's job just, it can bend out of shape which sucks. it's also great as a beginner corset, you don't want to buy a £100 corset then ruin it.you won't be at all pleased.

Reply 15

How could you ruin a corset through lack of experience?

Reply 16

if you just wear it without breaking it in. basically the boning and corset need time to adjust to being worn, so if you tighten it too fast, it'll lose it's shape and structure and won't be as strong. it's like breaking in a new pair of heels. wear them too for a long period and they'll hurt like hell. break them in slowly and your feet will get used to them and the shoes will expand/fit your feet shape and they'll become comfortable.

also any corset newbie, should only get a corset that 2-4inches smaller than their current waist measurement. some can be very foolish and want a waist reduction of more than 4inches, and when you're not used to corsets, not only are you stressing the corset, you're stressing your body as well. like trying to fit a size 22 person in a size 8 top.

I quite like the look of these corset/belts things that seem to be around at the moment but I just think they must be so uncomfortable to wear! I bought a basque a while ago just out of curiosity really and have only worn it a few times as I find it quite uncomfortable. I have never managed to wear it all day as its too annoying. A corset must be a nightmare.

You get used to corsets, seriously. At first, you do have to learn to breath through your stomach instead of your lungs, but once you've 'got the knack' corsets are pretty comfy... or at least, mine are hehe.

Reply 19

so very true. mine are comfortable once you get used to them. it might be difficult at first but it's just because you're not used to it.

and please people stop calling them belts, they're corsets. there's a difference.
