Currently writing an EPQ about the 2017 General Election and have found some pretty useful material from The Guardian and was wondering if it is 'scholarly' enough for an EPQ. The article in question is this: https://www.theguardian.com/politics...ction-election it is very much in the favour of labour, if I include a more pro-Tory argument to balance it out will it be ok? Thanks
Yes it will be fine. But as you say you will have to balance the opinion. An EPQ should be a discursive essay (unless you are making an artifact) with a conclusion based on balanced sources.

    I have marked EPQs.

The Guardian usually provides sources in the form of hyperlinks in their articles (which there is), so if you can follow the hyperlinks to reference the original sources that'd be good. Although for opinion based stuff it's fine, but remember to balance it up as the Guardian is left wing, and you have to maintain a balance without an overwhelming bias. As long as you do that, but include a wide variety of sources you'll be fine!
