    Hello,
So I'm in a weekend job which I want to quit anyway because I have my third year coming up and I obviously want to focus on just that, although my manager is also being a little unreasonable with asking for 10 weeks of notice for a day off etc, so I've decided that I'm going to hand my notice in at the end of Aug- can I book my remaining holidays for September? Or would I not be allowed them since I am leaving?

    Thank you!

That depends on your company. Some companies pay you for unused holidays (added onto your final salary) but some do not so you will have to check with them on how their policy works for that.

ALL employers are obliged to pay you accrued but unused holiday pay when you leave employment. This is a working Time Regs entitlement for all employees and workers (but not the self employed). The exception is if your pay rate already rolls up your holiday pay into your hourly rate. There are problems with that legally, but that would take longer to explain. You should be able to tell whether your employer is purporting to do that by looking at your contract and your pay slips. It sounds from the fact that you can book holiday as though that doesn't apply here.

So to answer your question, whether you book time as holiday or whether you just leave and take the money, you should be able to have some paid time off in September.
