Meeting up - I make all the effort watch

With most friends I end up meeting up with, I always end up initiating. It's not like its every week. Its maybe 2-3 times a year. But if I don't message them, they don't message me.

May sound like a silly question but if they don't initiate but do meet up with me do they like me? do you ever meet up with friends just to make them happy but not really want to?

If I don't like someone, I wouldn't agree to meet up with them.

Nothing wrong with initiating all the time either, some people are not the texting type and would rather talk in person.

I mean they don't initiate meet ups...they could send me a message if they prefer talking in person but they don't
also I know they text alot. they spent quite a bit of time when we hung out texting other people!

If you only see each other 2-3 times a year then maybe you've drifted apart.

Take the hint that they're not interested.

it's easy to fall into the trap of worrying about "I make all the effort"... but if they didn't like you, they wouldn't meet up. Some people are just more proactive than others. At the end of the day, whoever sends the message about meeting up first doesn't matter.
