Do German universities accept the A-level provisional results

Hello there, I'm applying for a German University this year with the deadlinenon 31st August. Does anyone knownif german universities accept the Candidate Statement of Provisional Results (A-levels) or do they demand the GCE Certificate (which only comes out in October)?
