from what ive heard, after you confirm your place at a uni, you should receive an official invitation to your university from them. any idea when we will receive it?

If you have an AS12 letter on Track then normally you'll get something through from your university in the post about what happens next.
If you're unsure then contact your university or college directly. Some only send out information in August.
