Hi, I have been offered a place with Hillingdon. I still can not believe I made it but somehow I have. Do you know any information specifics to the course e.g if we work right through summer? How we get paid, monthly or termly etc?

    Hey Ray-re,
I have been offered a place at Hillingdon also so i guess we are going to be study mates.
We got handed a few sheets detailing what our holiday entitlement was, pay etc. I know we will be getting paid in 4 payments on successful completion of parts of the course.

When was your interview and what time? Mine was on the 13th at 8.45am :-/

Oh Wow! My interview was on 20th July at 8.45am. Do you know if the course is run through usual school holidays? Or do you have an estimate of when course will finish? I know the length just tryna to get my head around how kind it will take with or without breaks.

Are you thinking of going for your masters or the postgraduate certificate?

    (Sorry I'm asking you loads...lol)

    Hey,
Did you not get a fact sheet at the day of the assessment? We all did on the 14th.
As I can tell it will be a 15 month course starting from January and you have the option to make it a master's by completing a 10,000 dissertation and adding an extra month (16months in total) . There is no holiday with the course per say but you will have 32 days off during the year and this will coincide with national holiday periods like Xmas, Easter, bank hols etc. However additional study is expected during these periods as it's an intensive course.

One of my question as interview was "I thought we were getting a diploma but I am seeing master's degree in the fact sheet!"
The lecturer said that we can stop at diploma level but it makes more sense to get the full master's seeing that the opportunity is there.

    Hope this helps :-)

    Hi,

Thanks for that. I did get a fact sheet but didn't ask specifics such as actual start and end date. I appreciate you filling me in.
