They said they received my form too late. What are the chances that a spot will come through? I was really hoping to get into any of the halls but the halls specifically. Should I keep my hopes up or start searching privately?

    Hi,
See its difficult to say with your situation. I applied on the first day to halls and have an unconditional offer, but wasnt given anywhere in halls, because I lived in London and so I have been put on the waiting list. The thing that they use to decide who gets accomodation is when you applied and where you live.
So unless they say you are on the waiting list, I dont think you will get any.
maybe it is best to look privately

    Hope that helps

    Thanks for the reply.
When you said you haven't been put anywhere in the halls, does that mean you definitely have a place but it's also definitely not in the halls?
I live in London too & was hoping for a place in any of them. It'll be such a shame if it doesn't work out to be honest.
