Good Excuse To Not Go College??

Hey,
Basically I have lots of modules and retakes in January which I need to get A’s in but because of family and other problems I wasn’t able to study since college started. I know absolutely NOTHING and going to school doesn’t help because I’m one of those people that can only study at home in a quite environment. We have finished everything in school and we are just doing revision. I need a good excuse to miss 2 weeks of school so I can actually study and do weeks and weeks of missed work as the Christmas holidays are not enough. Can anyone give me some good excuses?

That would depend on whether your family are feeling helpful. If you were off to help a member or members of your family then maybe one of them would write you a note at the end saying you'd been ill with a virus? (Plus, then, if you feck up your exams you have an excuse. Not that I'd recommend that, just a thought.)

Yeah i too am in a similar situation, and I have all the co-operation of my guardians luckily :biggrin:

Why don't you just stay off and say you were ill if they ask. Chances are they don't care a great deal, it's not compulsory education anymore.

just say you are going on holiday, have flu, are looking after your parents as they have an illness, are having your tonsils/appendix removed etc anything like that really

If they're just doing revision and you would prefer to work at home, couldn't you tell the truth? At my college it was perfectly acceptable to opt to work in the library or at home during revision sessions.
