I've been thinking recently about awards, etc that would look good on an application for sixth form and universities... Are there any other awards like the Arts Award and Crest Award schemes? Is there any project/award/qualification-y thing that I could do in history because I am not taking it in school but am still interested in the subject?

    I would love any adivce
    Thanks!

No idea about Sixth Form, but universities generally don't care about awards - someone with excellent grades and a well written personal statement is always going to trump someone with good grades and an award. That said, various Oxbridge colleges do essay competitions, they might be worth a go.
