I have quite a while to decide what I want to be career-wise but I kinda just wanna have an idea of what area I want to go into as I have to make decisions what subjects I want to take for A-level. I really love psychology to the point where I couldn't imagine doing anything else. I'm interested in science as well but I'm not sure what career in science excites me. I'd really want to be a counselling psychologist but I heard that it's a really competitive career. Do you think I should even bother trying?

Definitely, if you're passionate about it! And I read that the demand for such people is going to continue to increase over the next few years.

For the next couple of years keep your options open. Study Psychology combined with a couple of sciences and then you can go into whatever you decide at the end.
