Hi, how are decisions being organised? Are they being released on a subject to subject basis?

Decisions are being on a subject basis by college. This means that all applicants to a given subject at a given college will hear together but this may not be the same time as applicants to the same subject at a different college.

Does anyone know when the decisions for law will be released?

If you find out, please post back here and let us know. I believe Admissions did say decisions would be released by the end of this week, but I suppose it doesn't hurt to double check

Hi all,

There have been some delays around running the pool for the March round. We now hope to announce decisions on 4th May.

Dear Admissions,

Does this mean that all the March Round decisions will be updated on 4th May on UCAS? Thank you.

Hello,

I am an Economics student that will turn 22 this summer and wishes to apply to Cambridge. This is more of a personal question, but due to COVID and bad mental health, my 1st-year 1st semester grades have not been that great.
I made sure that after that semester to seek help and have been scoring overall a strong 2:1 since and I am expecting to graduate with a 1st.
Will my bad marks jeopardize my chances of studying at Cambridge?
Is there a way I can prove that the grades have been low due to my health? (I am currently on the Student Disability Inclusive Support List at my uni)

Hi, thanks for posting!

If you believe your grades have been impacted by circumstances outside of your control, I would encourage you to arrange for an Extenuating Circumstances Form to be submitted alongside your application.

Hi, I am a prospective Oxbridge applicant with some questions regarding mature applicants.
How does Cambridge look at mature applicants who are independently studying A-levels at a later age and want to apply for maths? (Extenuating circumstances being the reason for delay)
Secondly, I understand you cannot speak for Oxford with certainty but would you argue that Cambridge is more accommodating for mature applicants in this specific situation?
I am torn between the two institutes so the defining factor which would influence my decision would be the more accommodating university.

Hi, if I've sent my results in and met the conditions, when should I expect my offer to be confirmed?

You should typically expect to hear from your college in a few days.

Hi, I also sent my results in about two weeks ago and have heard nothing back from my college. Should I expect to hear anything back soon or will confirmations not be processed until a certain date?

I am Nicole, a 21-year-old mature student, currently in the fourth year of vet school in Hong Kong. I am writing to enquire about the entry requirement of the undergraduate veterinary medicine programme (year 1 entry 2024) for your College.

I am holding the Hong Kong Diploma of Second Education (HKDSE) qualification with four core subjects and two electives, Chemistry and Biology, in 5** (5* being equivalent to A* in A-level). I do realise the general Cambridge entry requirement for high school students is 5*5*5 in three electives (A*AA - A*A*A in A-level). Still, I am not sure about the specific requirement for your College when translated internationally. I am wondering if a strong undergraduate performance (cumulative GPA of 3.98/4.30, ranking first in cohort) in addition to my secondary qualifications would satisfy your entry requirement as a mature student for veterinary medicine.

I am happy to take the International A-Levels for four science subjects in the 2024 summer session to satisfy the entry requirements of concern if needed. As a mature student who is self-studying for the curriculum, I may not be able to provide in UCAS a predicted grade for my results. Would such a situation disadvantage me from any admission decision?

Hello, I'm Tina, a prospective applicant applying to MPhil in Political Science. I wondering about CamSiS data that "will be kept in perpetuity" by Cambridge. This concerns me because my research proposal is highly sensitive. What are CamSIS Data? If I got accepted and matriculated, does the core CamSIS data include everything I submitted in my application and will be kept forever by Cambridge?

Hi everyone, I'm the new Admissions Tutor at St Edmund's College. St Edmund's focuses on the education of students aged 21 and over.

I'm here to answer any questions you might have about applying to Cambridge as a mature student, affiliate, postgraduate, or simply a little bit later than the norm. If you are going to be 21 or over at the time you start University, you might want to bear in mind that applications to Cambridge stay open beyond October 15, in many subjects.

Hi St Edmund's College Adminssion team,

I was wondering if level 4 Biology and Biochemistry (chemistry) is considered as part of meeting the entry requirments (completed with first class grades last year), if applicant's A levels was more than 7 year ago. In the college website, it states A levels within 7 years.

I look forward to your reply

Thank you

Hi, if I’m looking to pursue a bachelor in Law and I’m a mature student ¿Should I study an access course to HE in Law or Humanities? Thank you!
