Ive applied for Student Finance and have had to send evidence three times, one of which I keep getting a letter for and cannot provide. The evidence I'm being asked for is to prove that I stayed out of the UK for a year and a half temporarily. I have called SFE and asked if I can provide something else instead and have sent what I was told (which was a letter signed by my parents explaining why we moved out of the UK for that period of time) along with the letter I also sent my flight tickets to prove that I did leave and enter the UK, a copy of my grandmothers death certificate to prove that we were there taking care of her as she was ill and passed away not long after we returned to the UK. However, I have again received the same letter asking for that evidence. Neither me or my parents have evidence for this and I have already called SFE and feel that Im out of options, what else can I do? Is there anything you will accept instead?

Evidence to confirm a temporary break in your UK residency dependent on your situation would be considered on a 'case-by-case' basis. If you have received a letter asking for the evidence that you have already sent it is likely that we haven't yet processed what you sent in. I would recommend calling us on 0300 100 0607 so we can check the evidence has been received and advise of when this is likely to be reviewed.
