I'm doing a part time masters over 2 years, borrowing the full amount in two installments.
But for the second installment next year i may not need the full amount in that case can I borrow less next year? or is it once ive sign off on it i have to borrow the full amount.? thanks!

    Hi Samantha.Robin,

I assume that your course is starting in the 2017/18 academic year. Whatever maximum amount you choose to borrow for your whole course will be divided by two and paid to you over three instalments each academic year.

You can opt to change the amount you are borrowing up to nine months after the first day of the academic year of your course. If you wanted to reduce the loan amount you would need to fill in a Post Graduate Loan (PGL) loan request form and state the total amount you wish to borrow for the full course including the total amount of payments we have already made. Once processed we would schedule the remaining amount over the number of instalments still due to you.

    Thanks
