erm means the same to me :s-smilie: ask and find out

Maybe they meant like a separation kinda thing? But I'm assuming youre not married or in a relationship like that...hmm does sound like the same thing. You're just gonna have to ask to find out.

Sounds the same to me. If you're in a relationship you definitely need to talk with that person. Maybe they just want a break?

If they do mean that, then it's a pretty presumptuous thing to say. As in, "By the way. I decided we're taking a break from each other for a while, deal with it".

They don't want to be with you anymore is the bottom line.

Yeah I know :s-smilie: But I suppose some people can be like that. Tbh, sounds like a dumping to me, without saying those words...
Whoever said that to you needs to make themselves VERY clear.

Reply 7

same, unless they are asking for some time apart?

Reply 8

What a great way of breaking up with someone, leaving them unsure whether it's actually over or not.

Reply 9

"I want out but I'm too chicken **** to say it."

Reply 10

Maybe they want to keep a window open in case they can't find a better shag?

Reply 11

It sounds more like they wanted to say they wanted to end the intimate relationship but stay friends - but didn't really find decent words for it!

Reply 12

To me that would mean exactly the same thing, that it is over.

hmmm....so its either:
-he wants a break
-he doesn't want to carry on at all- its over
-hes running away from everything and is unsure himself so he decided to confuse me too o.o

in any case....what if this "Im not breaking up with you, Im just leaving you" was followed by "...take care of yourself and don't get married"

He didn't seriously say that last bit did he?

Reply 16

did too. -nod-

Reply 17

Lol ok, if he actually said it then it sounds like he did just break up with you and - imo - the marriage thing was a joke to try and lighten the tone a little

Reply 18
