I've been progressing on the program Starting Strength.... hitting new PR's etc until last week where I had next to no sleep and way too much alcohol.
Since that night I have stalled and find my workouts 10x harder. What I could do last week I can't do now . My mentality since then has changed too, more depressed in the gym, although I'll never give up.
Thinking things through, I want to start afresh and work my way back up. So I have decide to go for a 20% deload on all my weights, meaning it will take at least 2-3 weeks to get back to what I am doing today. My only question regarding this is should I still eat at a surplus? Obviously the weights aren't as taxing and very easy right now. I fear if I don't eat enough on this deload, I'll just end back up at my stalled weights....
