For all those of you starting uni in 2017, we hope you're looking forward to starting your studies!
We've put together a list of the top 10 things to do this summer before you start.

1) Go on holiday!You’ve worked hard and it’s time for a break – whether this be camping in Cornwall with your parents or sunbathing in Spain with your friends.
2) Do your researchFind out all there is to know about where you’re going to be studying including the best cafes and clubs and where to buy midnight snacks.
3) Learn to cookThe summer before uni is a great time to master a few dishes, even if they are all pasta based!
4) Read whatever you like! Plus get a start on the required reading. Once uni starts you’ll have lots to read, so read your favourites now.
5) Have photos printedChoose your best Instagram/Snapchat shots and get them printed ready to decorate your uni (or home!) bedroom.
6) Sort out your packing listNow’s the time to work out what you’ll be taking with you and what you should leave at home (clue: pets!)
7) Find friends on Facebook Lots of Facebook groups have already been set up, join in and meet your new mates.
8) Learn some household basicsFrom YouTube, your mum or Mrs Doubtfire! For example how to actually use a washing machine.
9) Set up your student bank accountThe first step to
managing your finances.
10) Decide which societies to joinCheck out your university's students' union to find out about all the clubs and societies you can take part in.
