About to go into my 3rd and final year studying Psychology (predicted 2:1) at a semi-target Russell Group uni (think Leeds, Nottingham, Birmingham), looking at pursuing a career in AM/IM.

Failed to get a summer internship this summer after unsuccessful applications and assessment days, leading to me entering my last year with no relevant work experience for AM. I am however doing some non-relevant user research work shadowing this summer.

What can I do to demonstrate my interest in AM and increase my chances of landing a grad scheme place/internship after graduation?

    Many thanks in advance.

First of all I'd start looking for alternatives routes, as you're no doubt aware grad schemes are super competitive. The Investment 2020 scheme is good entry level roles, lower pay admittedly but they are a very good foot in the door. You can start studying for the CFA level 1 it will indicate a strong willingness to get into the industry. If a masters is off the cards you can email places close by and offer to intern for free perhaps if you can live at home?
