As far as I'm aware the Government is intending on scrapping this course within this parliament. Although you cover various different topics, such as data structures, graphical design, product creation and a small amount of coding. It all depends on your exam board. My school used WJEC and they had an exam at the end of AS where they had to design a website I think, fixing a problem. They also had to do 3 pieces of coursework that ranged from website design to planning, designing and creating a graphical product and advertising it in a digital manner. I'm unaware if this course has changed and about other exam boards. Although my understanding is that the days of ICT are numbered.

'Our regulator Ofqual currently state that, with the exception of re-sits, the last time students will be able to sit exams in ICT will be in summer 2017 (AS level) and summer 2018 (A-level).'

You won't be able to take it, as this year is the last year the AS exams are running, next year will be the last A2 exams and then that will be it for the subject.
