I recently gave blood for the first time and found out that my blood type is A- (apparently this is quite rare!)

So I pose a couple of questions to you:

Have you given blood? Would you? If not, why not?

    What blood type are you?

It's really interesting finding out! My blood is quite thin though so I would bleed out quite quickly in an accident

Oh really why aren't you allowed? (if you don't mind me asking of course, if you do then just ignore me!)

It's because of the medication I'm on.

AB-. I found out about 5 years ago while in hospital.

I haven't given blood yet. The last time I was due to give blood which would have been for the first time, my papa got a transplant offer so I was up in hospital with him. Sadly as you know, it fell through I hold blood donors and organ donors in very high regard. You're all life savers, literally :yep: :hugs:

"Bloody" hell you must have some clue.

Are you trying to say you "donor" have a clue?

Yes sorry to hear about that

I'd been meaning to donate for ages, especially after my girlfriend started doing it, and it was great to know that I was helping someone. Although the little pinprick you get on your finger hurt a bit I didn't faint thankfully!

Ah the opposite to myself! Although my girlfriend is O+!

At least someone will be able to give you blood easily

A Positive. Found out when I was pregnant. Future warning to you ladies out there.... if and when you become pregnant, throughout the whole nine months there are SO many blood tests taken. Not nice.
