Hi, so I submitted student finance for my 2nd year of university around 1 month and 1 week ago maybe longer and my amount got increased considerably from the year before to £7,000+ due to parent's retirement. Everything was fine I submitted my declaration with this amount on it and it got approved 3 weeks ago.

Then all of a sudden I get an letter in the post today telling me I'm back to around the minimum amount of <£4,000, however I didn't submit any new documents and I'm confident my parents didn't either, and they couldn't have without my signature. So my question is how do I reverse this decision without having to re-submit documents which would mean that I might not get the new amount before the semester starts. It's really annoying because I've got a house which relies on an increased loan amount and if I'd have known that it would not be increasing then I would have started a job search at university already, however now I know that many jobs have already gone to returning students.

Any help or advice is massively appreciated
