Can you apply through clearing to the same university that youve beem rejected from? Watch

    hi.
    i am a bit worries for my A level resuults. i was wondering can i apply for a foundation year through clearing to the same university if i get rejected from thr uni on results day.

    generally they would consider you for alternative courses before rejecting you, so if track says unsuccesful on results day then it's likely they decided not to take you for the foundation year either. If it gives you piece of mind then one phone call can't do much harm.

    will they phone or email you if thy have alternative courses or woud have to find out

    usually they would consider you automatically, but if not you could call them yourself

    I tried that with Liverpool John Moores and they still said no to me I'm not saying your University would but LJMU weren't very fond of me!

    It depends on the requirements for the foundation year. Some are only for students who didn't take the correct subjects, rather than those who just failed to get the right grades. The uni will also have a lot of applicants who want to try this, and won't be able to offer a place to everyone.

    But if the uni does want to offer you a place on the foundation year, this wouldn't be through Clearing. They would make a changed course offer.

    oh i see so they will automatically consider me if they choose to. so what would it say on track.

    "You university has made you an offer for a different course "

    You either accept it or decline it. If you decline then ucas acts like you were rejected.
