Just wanted to know what lifestyle would be like in Edinburgh as a young professional? I'm from London but the cost of living here is not something I can deal with, coupled with the fact that it's just overcrowded. Has anyone made a move to the Scottish capital and was the transition drastic? I'm not a clubber etc so I think I'd be fine with the slower pace of life

Edinburgh is a nice place. It's old/historical and it's a lot of tight streets/inclines and declines, bit of a pain to walk because you're often going uphill but in terms of stuff to do there's tons of restaurants, a decent shopping area, plenty of museums and festivals going on. I don't live IN Edinburgh but been several times, I've lived in London and it's different but at the end of the day you have everything you need and it's one of the nicest cities in the UK
