It's your life, you have to be in charge of it, but as above, every University has an extensive Careers Service where you can go a nd research jobs, have practice interviews, get advice, speak to employers, learn how to make effective applications etc. most will keep supporting you for at least a few years after you graduate as well

Yea I know that I need to take charge and find them myself I was just wondering if the uni will be able to find jobs more related to courses as businesses might want to seek for uni students in a particular field that might not been on job websites

They won't hold your hand into the interview room but they will give you pointers and advice on how to properly format your CV and how to answer certain questions. Ultimately it's down to you to how you conduct yourself and prepare, there's only so much they can help you with.

My experience with careers service at top universities has been - well - mixed.

When it comes to real technical problems and/or questions, forget about it, very few will actually be able to tell you, for example if you are applying for a coding position and your interview is about Java architecture. They might help you with the soft skills aspect of the interviews and give you CV advice.

    Nope. That's on you.

They have a careers service (but not all of them are even good) which will provide interview prep and CV help resources. There may also be a university job board. And of course, the careers fairs that bring employers on campus.

But actually getting a job is all about you, your CV/application and interview skills.

As others have said the careers service may help to an extent- you have to make an effort to go and visit though, help won't come to you.

    Yes.

The university will find the job for you,
    dress you for the interview,
    drive you to work everyday,
    write your CV for you,
    make you breakfast etc
