No I'm living at university and also my house is equipped with a library. Isn't there anywhere else where you could study, i.e. local library, or perhaps make your parents understand your situation? Also are they at home all day?

It'll probably be a lot quieter in certain places at Uni so I wouldn't worry so much. The library or your room, for instance?

Hehe I wasn't rubbing it in! Is it not possible to make them understand how inconsiderate they're being?

    Alternatively hide the TV/destroy it.

Actully this is natural, for me my best time to study is when my little brother and sister, are out,and at night when no tv is on and most of the people are sleeping, tell your parents
(if you want me to become something to the society then turn the volume down but if you want me to become a burglar and spend 15 year in jail ,so you could feel guilty your whole lives then let it up,fine by me,so choose either the volume down or 15 years of guilt)
    try it,it may work
    and dont be too rude

Or do work at night, that's how I mostly ended up doing revision and coursework. Mucks up your bodyclock though.
