Unconditional offers > EE offer.....??

Im sorry, I am a bit stupid, but do Unconditional offers mean you can get anything and u will still be accepted....?

Like 3 U's, and you'll still get the place you applied for....?

And isnt that better than a EE offer, becuase atleast in that, u have to get an E!!!! lol....

Im new to this, so plz dont laugh!!!

And why do people who do gap years get unconditional offers....?

Unconditional offers are for those who have already finished their A-levels (i.e. they've done their exams and have their grades already, so there's really no point in getting a condition). EE offers are for those ppl they want to give unconditional offers to, but still have yet to finish their highschool. They give the EE offer so that atleast you still get your highschool diploma, not leave school altogether.

Unconditional offers are for people who have already finished their A levels (including those, usually, on a gap year), as they're not doing any more exams, and therefore can't be given a Conditional offer (since they've already got the grades in hand...).

EE offers are for those who are still doing A level exams, and obviously need to complete those, but the university wants them so much that they give those people a really low offer to make sure they'll get in. Does that make sense?

Well EE offers are often given out by Christ's, Cambridge, and the applicants to them normally already have an A at AS, which is equivalent to an E at A2, so not really.

Because they've already got their A-levels and therefore don't need to satisfy any more conditions.

The long and the short of it is that you should forget that unconditional offers exist unless you have already done your A levels. And you should forget that easy offers exist because you won't get one unless you don't really need one!

It's a bit weird, but when I was in Year 13 with AAABC ASs behind me, I was given an unconditional offer at Coventry University. In theory I could've just quit Year 13 and gone there regardless... so it seems in some unique cases, unconditional offers can be given out before A Levels themselves are completed! (I was probably predicted AABC but I honestly can't remember!)

That was probably because you had already met the standard offer for that course from Coventry, which would have been points based and not thrillingly hard. You already had 270 points. It was still irrelevant because you were able to do a lot better.

Yeah, it is sometimes just down to the university - if they rely mainly on UCAS points, then they can give you unconditional offers based on your ASs, because you may already have met the entry requirements.

Really, though, it's a risky game - unless you've done your A levels, I would work on the basis that you'll be offered the normal grade requirements.

Apart from anything, you haven't even done your AS Levels yet. Stop thinking about it for now!
