Modafinil. But it's prescription-only, so you'd have to buy it online.

The answer to you question is.... coffee :p:

Wouldnt recommend any prescription pill tbh. Many bodybuilding brands sell pure Caffinne pills and well caffine its not the best for your body but atleast its not as bad as taking some prescription pill. Hope that helps.

Good sleep, breaks for fresh air and loads of water. Water keeeps the brain hydrated and raises the level of concentration. Also keep your energy levels up with good food like pasta etc. Pep pills are balls :P

What are the pills you take that keep you awake? I have loads to do in the next few months and need something

I know there is Proplus but I thought there was something better

I find the part I've underlined very worrying. The pills you're describing are designed to give you an occassional pick-me-up; they're not appropriate for long-term (ab)use.

If you have some kind of long-term tiredness problem, you'd be far better off improving your diet and exercise levels and, if that doesn't do it, visiting your doctor to make sure there's not some underlying condition.

I know. I dont have a condition as such I have just found myself dozing off when I am meant to be studying. I have even dozed off in the middle of a nice dinner

I probably have to speak to my workplace about cutting down my hours

Upon what evidence are you basing that assertion? Because if we're basing harm on availability or legality then cigarettes are less harmful than MDMA (which is simply false). I sugges you research before commenting.

Absolutely.

Pro plus is just caffeine, and if you're going to use caffeine you may as well get the wonderful taste of coffee to go with it. Can't go wrong with coffee.

Where can you buy this? I've looked, just wondering how much it was really, but couldn't find.

if youve had a sleepless night, and something to get up for, its not always that practical to wait for 6-8 cups of coffee to brew if you have say a lecture/school in half an hour. whereas 8 pro plus takes no time at all to do, and you can top up easily throughout the day.

Pro plus? You can get a pack of it from Boots for about £3.

Um.. wouldn't that make you kinda shakey and ill? 2 or 3 at a time would probably give you enough energy to last. ;yes;

Otherwise you might turn into a crazed Caffeinated Monster.

i drink a lot of coffee anyway. i have a couple of cups in the morning, a couple in the afternoon.

2 pro plus wouldnt do the same as an aenergy boost for me.

it takes a lot to make yiu flip....i once did about 16 =-20 just to see what would happen type thing when we were a bit bored - had the shakes, went minorly delerious, felt sick for a short time, but that was it. controllable.

I read somewhere today that a teenager had to be hospitalised recently because of a caffeine overdose. Who'd have thunk it?

Reply 15

Pro plus = about 5 cups of strong coffee.

20 pro plus or coffee? If Pro Plus, that's 10 grams of caffeine, the top lethal dose in 50% of the population is 14g (assuming a body mass of 70kgs)

I quote wiki
The LD50 of caffeine in humans is dependent on weight and individual sensitivity and estimated to be about 150 to 200 milligrams per kilogram of body mass, roughly 80 to 100 cups of coffee for an average adult taken within a limited timeframe that is dependent on half-life. Though achieving lethal dose with caffeine would be exceptionally difficult with regular coffee, there have been reported deaths from overdosing on caffeine pills, with serious symptoms of overdose requiring hospitalization occurring from as little as 2 grams of caffeine.[68][69][70][71] Death typically occurs due to ventricular fibrillation brought about by effects of caffeine on the cardiovascular system.

Don't abuse caffeine pills kids.

Someones already posted, but try Modafinil, highly affective drug. Remember new scientist did a whole article on it a while ago. Used by the army :x Look at the adverse affects yourself and decide if the risk is worth the reward...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modafinil#Side-effects

Personally I dont think you should put yourself in a situation where you NEED drugs to stay awake, its not natural. Cut down your workload, be it academic, or job wise. Going down the drug abuse path is a bad one imo :x

pro plus and red bull

Reply 18

Adrafinil is cheaper and much easier to get hold of, less side effects as well apparently. Makes your urine smell a little like marijuana which is worrying the first timeyou notice it lol.

Not that I'm advocating drug use, but when I was stressed out and over tired during my exams these pills were amazing.

Pro plus alone seems to have bugger all effect on me. Although I did once combine vodka and pro-plus, oh, that was a fun night...
