I've been ordering Tesco delivery for years and never tipped them but I just wondered if anyone actually tips them? I usually tip the people who deliver takeaway because you can just let them keep the change or whatever but with Tesco or Asda etc it would just feel weird giving them a small amount of money.

I would tip them if they unloaded all my shopping into the fridge.

As if I'd ever buy anything from Tesco.

Oh, no. The horror of ordering from a generally middle class supermarket online. How terrible, the neighbours would surely talk. Let us keep this in the realms of possibility and keep things strictly Ocado, shall we? Good heavens, even the notion!

Fair enough, they do carry it from the van though, albeit 10ft in distance.

I would probably if they didn't have a minimum delivery spend + delivery fee :unimpressed:.

I don't see the need to tip? It's their job.

I never tip any sort of delivery including takeaways as most places have charges anyway. It is their job at the end of the day, and most jobs these days don't get tipped.

No I don't tip them. I very rarely tip in general though tbh.

Is it actually against their policy to tip the drivers? I never knew that, well that saves me from any guilt then

I don't think I have ever tipped anyone in my life. It never crosses my mind too.

when he comes to the door i lean in real close and whisper in his ear how tescos is massively overpriced, and that if he wants to buy food online morrisons offers the superior delivery service
