How hard is it for an english applicant to get into medicine at Aberdeen?

I only recently found out that scottish unis only have limited spaces for english students. However I really want to get into Aberdeen so was wondering what english successful applicants usually had in common? Did you get lots of A*s at gcse, high ukcat, amazing personal statement ect... how do you think you got to the interview stage? Thanks for any help :smile:

I thought Scottish universities only have a limited number of free places for Scottish students. English/International students there are no limits as it's in their interest to take these students as they pay fees. It might be different for medicine, however.
