So basically I'm struggling with taking in the Biology content and applying it to exam questions.
Can anyone recommend me an efficient way of revising for this subject at A level standard?
Also, I'm doing the new AQA specification if that helps. Thank you.

I suggest that you make sure that you have several steps to your revision:
a) Make sure that you learn everything in the specification
b) Make sure that you revise everything in the specification
c) Learn what is expected from each question type (eg state, define, describe, explain ...)
d) Practise answering short answer questions
e) Practise answering longer and longer answer questions
f) Pratise answering whole past papers

With regards to applying your knowledge to the question, remember that you will either have learnt the knowledge required or that it will be given to you in the question. All of the information provided in the question will be essential.

Hope I helped. Good luck!

Thank you so much! Do you have any specific exam techniques or revision techniques, that I could possibly use to improve my revision style?

Try making a list of the topics that you find particularly difficult and chose some of the following activities to help you revise them.
-Posters
-Mindmaps
-Timelines
-Quizes
-Games (eg match the keyword with the definition)
-Animations
-Write information down on a card, turn it over and see how much you can recall
-Teach a family member or friend

Basically, any activity that will help you remember the information!
