positivity?

hi

i want to ask for advice about being positive!

i'm naturally shy and quiet, and this summer i had a mental breakdown, resulting in me leaving uni and moving back home.

the problem is i get excited about everything (job interview, volunteering etc) and then i mess it up by being to anxious about things going wrong

I was on anti depresants over the summer as i was having suicidal thoughts (which i no longer have), and i'm worried about what i should do, wether i can hold down a job, etc?

advice please

theres no reason you cant  give it a go. you might be very pleasently suprised. if it doesnt work first time put it down to experiance and try again. itl be worth it

I find visualisation useful. I do a series of mental walkthroughs of the interview/presentation/whatever and imagine it going fantastically. It feels a little daft at first, but it realigns the way you approach situations and can give you a more positive outcome.
