its gotta be bull****e, I mean come on 7th, when youve got the like of cambridge, oxford, ucl, warwick, nottingham, bristol, birmingham, lse, leister,NOT A CATS CHANCE IN HELL IS BEDFORDSHIRE 7th.

It appears it was the national survey of students?! Not sure how that works. How can students judge how good their course is compared to other universities, if they have only studied in one place? Seems quite barmy to me. There is no way Bedfordshire is as good as the AAA institutions.

According to the Times, it comes 80th for Law *snigger*

Edit: Just clicked the link and seen that its 7th for student satisfaction for Law.

hehehe

The UOB is crap.

Reply 7

I have been told by my friend (who heralds from Bedfordshire) to make a post that it is crap.

I won't labour the point; it is obvious...

Reply 8

UOB is a ****hole, utter ****hole, if its 7th for law Ill take of my hat and ram it down my throat, thank got the advert is gone. The gall of it 7TH, 7TH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reply 9

Haha. It got me too. Couldn't believe a uni that ranks so low could have such a good rep for courses like Law. Well, I guess they have to play on their only positive stats right?

Reply 10

Bedford is ok, it's Luton that's really dire.

Reply 11

UoB is awesome for Law. Alumni include: Bob (the Morrisons shelf-stacker) and John (the local cinema cleaner)

Reply 12

Bedfordshire is a %%%%%%%%ing %%%%%%%% hole of a place!
wouldn't recommend even looking at the uni, cause you do not want to live here!
(btw im not at that uni, just live there lol)

i can confirm it is UTTER pants!!

i went there, very nasty area to live and study in. the same night my friend got headbutted, i walked home...sooo close not to be shot at, cos there was a shooting at the local club right next door to uni

the uni was closed cos of the health and safety - cos it was a bit windy...seriously

the student surveys are thrusted in front of your face and you just dont really read the questions. you just saw agree, disagree, dunno.

most uni's ive visited with my friend (who is about to start a BSc in sciences) do help you with your academic progress. UoB never once helped. even when i was handing in an assignment - the feed back was more about the method of my hand in than the work it self. i was given a A4 ticking-off cos i put the work in plastic wallets.

i would strongly advise against this. i had fun with friends whilst at home and achieved more!

Oh god I get that, I hate surveys. And what about being bothered when its like Student election times. Who cares abou that, really hate it when they get in your face to vote all the time. What's the point it makes no difference.

Reply 15

haha i was FORCED to 'democratically elect' a member of the Student Union

she was in my face, initially i just walked away, then she said please give me two minutes then tried to find a middle groud - i happened to wear a band shirt or somthing..then i felt bad NOT choosing her candidate and pick her last ...as a pity vote

I agree totally! I live just outside of Luton but go to Uni in Bedford and it's a lot better - Luton is just crap. Bedford should have stayed as De Montfort and not joined with Luton... Luton wanted to sound more intelligent by becoming 'Bedfordshire' lol!
